Pasteur Network Now Officially established in Senegal
We are delighted to announce that the Pasteur Network is now officially registered and represented in Senegal, marking an important step in strengthening our presence on the African continent.
Senegal already hosts one of the Network’s distinguished members, the Institut Pasteur de Dakar, a key contributor to public health and research in the region. Establishing our legal presence in Dakar further reinforces our long‑standing collaboration and support for our members and partners in Africa. This milestone is part of a broader strategic effort to establish a regional footprint across key zones. In parallel, the registration processes are progressing in Hong Kong and Brazil, which will anchor the Network in the Asia‑Pacific and Americas regions as well.
This multi‑regional approach reflects the Pasteur Network’s commitment to becoming more agile, connected, and locally engaged—enhancing our ability to support PN members, foster collaboration, and respond more effectively to global health challenges.
Rebecca Grais, Director of the Pasteur Network, stated:
“With our presence now established in Senegal, and in other regions, we are advancing toward a more connected Network that can accelerate scientific collaborations and collective action in global health.”
Dr Ibrahima Socé Fall, CEO of Institut Pasteur de Dakar, added:
“We are very pleased to officially welcome the Pasteur Network to Senegal. Establishing its presence in Dakar reflects the trust placed in the Institut Pasteur de Dakar and strengthens Senegal’s role as a scientific and public health hub serving Africa and the world.”
